Page Clarity Overview

This overview provides an easy understanding of the Page Clarity tool. It was designed to enable you to monitor and manage your Target URLs  at any level you choose. This guide will walk you through the process of adding URLs, adding URL tags, RSS sources and how to set up Dynamic Rules to add newly added URLs to tags automatically.

Page Clarity Use Cases

  1. Track  the health and performance of your target URLs.
  2. Monitor status codes of your target URLs.
  3. See when changes were last made to your target URLs.
  4. Discover linking opportunities.

Background & Requirements for Page Clarity

  1. Pages must be added as a managed page before data becomes present in Page Clarity. Managed pages are crawled on a daily basis.
NOTE: It may take up to 48 hours before pages added to Managed Pages are crawled by the Claritybot, this includes capturing newly added Additional Content
  1. Allow the seoClarity crawler to crawl your site - To ensure our seoClarity crawler can check your site, you need to allow it access. You can do this by either allowing our user agent or our IP addresses. Here’s how:
1.) Whitelist Our User Agent: Default User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; ClarityBot/9.0; +https://www.seoclarity.net/bot.html). The user agent can be set in the URL Parameters setting.
2.) Whitelist Our IP Addresses: refer to this article for the list of IP addresses.
If the crawler is blocked by your server (e.g., a 503 response), it will stop checking that particular page.
