How to Export and Download Data

Downloading Data Exports Overview

seoClarity Platform data can be exported from charts or tables via the download and export options. Most downloads are instantaneously generated from the time they are selected. Some features, like Rank Intelligence, include additional download options.

Background & Requirements

Downloads are accessible for any charts or tables that contain data. Restrictions may apply for Essentials subscriptions.

Standard Platform Export Options


 

Chart Downloads

  1. Download PDF Document: Select this option to extract the chart as a .pdf file.
  2. Download CSV Data: Select this option to extract the chart's underlying data points.
Table Downloads
  1. Copy Visible Rows: Select this option to copy the table rows that are currently visible (based on the number of entries displayed) to your clipboard. This can be used to paste into other data repositories. 
  2. Download All: Select this option to extract the table in its entirety, up to 1 million rows. 

Other Export Options
In addition to the standard export options, some features have additional options for data exports. This includes: Rank Intelligence, Site Audit, and Dashboards.

Rank Intelligence Download Options

  1. Highest ranking page for domain: This option will download the table as you see it with a couple of additional columns. The table only shows the highest ranking URL for each keyword. Therefore, each keyword has one record in the download.
  2. All ranking pages for domain: This option will download the table as you see it BUT also include each URL that ranks for a keyword. A keyword may have multiple records in this download if you have multiple URLs ranking for the keyword.
  3. Top 20 Ranking URLs:  This option provides a download of the top 20 ranking URLs that are found for each keyword shown in the table. 
  4. SERP Snippets: This option provides a download of the SERP Title and Meta for the URL that is ranking for each keyword.
  5. Keyword + Tags (Grouped):  This option will download the list of currently tracked keywords and the Keyword tags associated with each keyword. Each keyword has a single record with all the associated tags shown as a comma separated list. 
  6. Keyword + Tags (Individual): In this option each keyword and associated tag is represented in its own row. A single keyword associated with 2 tags would have two rows in this report.
  7. Keyword Tag Groups: This option will be sent via email. It contains keywords and their tags, as well as the tag group where the keyword tags are located.

Site Audit Details

  1. Download External Links: Includes the source URL, the status of the source URL, the external link, and the anchor text. 
  2. Download Full Details: Select this option to extract URLs with all crawled content for the selected crawl. 
  3. Download Sitemap: Select this option to create a sitemap of URLs found in the selected crawl with a 200 response. This will include a sitemap index and multiple sitemap files for larger sites. 
  4. Download Issues: This option includes the URL, title of the page, status, issue found, and the fragment where it was found.
Redirects
  1. Download Redirect Chains: Includes the parent URL, status code, the URL it redirects to, and the redirect chain level.
Performance
  1. Download Resources: Includes the title, URL, the resource URL, the resource URL status code, whether it is cached or not, and the request type.

Dashboards: PDF download


How To Download A Dashboard As A PDF 



Select the Print Preview button to schedule dashboards to be sent as a PDF, one time or recurring. Using this option also allows for Dashboards to be saved as a PDF download by changing the Destination.


Standard Rank Extract

The standard rank extract without historical reporting or modification is included in most seoClarity subscriptions for no additional cost and can be made available upon request. A sample extract is attached and can be seen in the image below. Learn More


Standard Rank Extract columns
  1. Date: Displays the date the ranking data is based on in the mm/dd/yyyy format. By default, this is available from the date of the request going forward. 
  2. Keyword: Displays the managed keyword name.
  3. Search Volume: Displays the average search volume for the corresponding keyword. 
  4. Rank: Displays the rank of the ranking URL for the corresponding keyword. This includes the Top 30 rank positions and the Rank type is True Rank by default. The Top 100 rank positions can be made available upon request. 
  5. URL Type: Displays the SERP feature the ranking URL was found to be a part of in the SERP. Options include: Web, Image, Video, etc. 
  6. Ranking URL: Displays the URL found ranking for the corresponding keyword. Limiting this to just the domain's own ranking URL can be made available upon request. 

Standard Rank Extract file details
  1. Name: Includes the domain name, search engine, date, and device type (where specified).
  2. Extension: .txt is the default file type.
  3. Delimiter: Tab is the default.
  4. Frequency: Daily or weekly, depending on the rank check frequency setup for the domain. 
  5. Delivery Location: sFTP is the default. Learn More

Custom Extracts

Requests for any custom extract require a scope to determine the amount of time and effort needed to build and maintain the extract. Custom extracts include new extracts, and modifications to the standard rank extract or existing downloads, such as frequency or metrics. This is an example of the primary data needed whenever you need a custom extract; it should be sent to support@seoclarity.net:

  • Domains for which we need to run this extract: example.com

  • Extract Frequency: One time | Recurring (weekly, monthly, etc.).

  • Date: Single day | range of dates

  • Data to be extracted: Keyword | URL | Rank, etc.

  • File format: .txt | .csv

  • Search Engine: Google.com | Baidu.com

  • Location: National | Geolocations

  • Device: Mobile | Desktop


Sending this detailed data will expedite the process of determining the feasibility and time/effort needed to build it. Depending on the work order, custom extracts can incur a cost. Once support@seoclarity.net receives the initial request, more details may be required depending on the extract since it is built especially for your account. After all the data is provided and clarified, you will receive an example of the file before the final extract is built to be reviewed and approved prior to the custom extract being generated and provided.
