Asana Integration

The Integration > Workflow setting allows for select task management tools to be integrated with seoClarity tasks. This integration enables a two-way, real-time synch between seoClarity’s own task management system and the chosen third party task management system. 


Background & Requirements

The account must have access to an Asana Personal Access Token and be an admin user in seoClarity.


Use Cases

With this two-way integration tasks can be managed from a single platform, seoClarity, eliminating the roadblocks and inefficiencies of using multiple task management tools.

To create and use this integration, follow the steps in this video or the written instructions below:


How to retrieve the Asana Personal Access token

1) Login to Asana, click your profile icon at upper right, and select "My Settings."


2) Select the Apps tab, then click "Manage Developer Apps"


3) Now click "Create New Token"


4) Give the token a name (we recommend "seoClarity Tasks" for this application), agree to the terms and conditions, and click "Create Token"


5) Click the "copy" button to copy the token to your clipboard.


6) Go to the "Account" tab and review your Organization and Workspace names to integrate with SeoClarity. You will need these later.


How to Establish Integration with seoClarity Tasks

1) With the Asana Personal Access token in your clipboard memory, log in to the appropriate domain in seoClarity, and from the Settings page go to the Integrations tab.


2) Scroll down to the Workflow section and select Asana > Add Integration


3) Enter the email you use to log in to Asana, retrieve and choose the Asana workspace that should integrate with your seoClarity tasks, and the Asana Personal Access Token you obtained using the steps above.

How to Use Asana Integration with seoClarity Tasks

When creating a task in seoClarity, check the "Synch with Asana" box. This will allow you to enter the Asana Workspace, Project, Section, Assignee, and any Collaborators. 

After saving the task in seoClarity, it immediately appears in Asana. Any updates you make on SeoClarity will appear in Asana tasks.
