Why do some AIO results in SERP Previews take up most of the page?

Some Google AI Overview results can take up larger portions of the SERP when they are dynamic in nature. These dynamic AI Overview results do not have their content included in the HTML and as such the platform makes an additional query to retrieve the AIO content that is seen in the SERP Preview.
