What is the difference between True Rank and Web Rank?

In Rank Intelligence, you have the option to choose True Rank or Web Rank when viewing ranking data.

Here are the differences between the two:
  • Google True Rank is the keyword's ranking on the search engine results page (SERP) that includes the rankings of images, maps, shopping listings, and more for that keyword's true rank
  • Google Web Rank is the keyword's ranking on the SERP that excludes the rankings of images, maps, shopping listings, and any other listing that is not the standard website ranking on that keyword

For a visual representation of the differences, look at the image below. Google True Rank has the set of Google Images ranked in the first position. The Google Web Rank diagram displays the first web result, below the Google Images, as the URL in the first position. Learn More
