Link Gaps Overview

Link Gaps provides a way to compare backlink profiles, based on Majestic's link index, and find backlink opportunities across multiple domains. 

Link Gaps Use Cases

1. Identify potentially harmful links to your site and disavow them before they affect your rankings and search visibility.

Link Gaps

Search: Input a domain or URL

Find link gaps vs: Select Top Competitors or specify domains

Time frame: Select the period of data to be viewed based on the input date. Default options include Last 1 Year, Last 2 Years, All Time, and Custom.

Date: Select a day to determine the period that the time frame selection should apply to. This defaults to the most recent completed day. 

Trend Charts

Backlink Domains: This line chart displays the count of unique domains linking to the specified domain(s), which can be viewed as distributive or cumulative over time.

Backlinks: This line chart displays the count of unique backlinks linking to the specified domain(s), which can be viewed as distributive or cumulative over time.

Filters

Follow / No Follow: Filter the backlinks based on whether they have a no follow tag or not.

TLD: Filter backlink URLs by top level domain based on the criteria: is, isn't, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, or a Regex pattern.

URL: Filter the backlink URLs based on the criteria: is, isn't, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, or a Regex pattern.

Citation Flow: This is a MajesticSEO metric that displays a predictive number (on a scale of 1-100) of how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it. Filter options include: Equals, Greater Than, Less Than, and Between. 

Trust Flow: This is a MajesticSEO metric that displays a predictive number (on a scale of 1-100) of how trustworthy a page is based on how authoritative sites tend to link to authoritative sites. Filter options include: Equals, Greater Than, Less Than, and Between. 

Topic: Filter backlink URLs topics based on the criteria: is, isn't, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, or a Regex pattern.

Domain Opportunities

This table displays the domains linking to the specified competitors and their related metrics. 

Domain: Displays the list of domains linking to at least one of the competitor domains.

Relevance: Displays High, Medium, or Low score based on the Topics for that domain in relation to the Topics for the competitor domains.
