Clarity 360 Projects Overview
Clarity 360 provides an at-a-glance view of the state of your website that quickly uncovers where the bottlenecks to ranking for more keywords and driving more traffic are. It brings together all available data sources so the view is not only comprehensive and easily understood, but it is easy to drill down to the exact source of any problems. Background & Requirements
To use Clarity 360, a report needs to be created and data from the selected source must be present.
Clarity 360 Project Use Cases
- Gain understanding into both top performing and under performing pages.
- Identify crawl budget issues with the funnel view.
- Form a strategic plan to prioritize SEO tasks.
- Forecast the impact of your work.
How To Create A Clarity 360 Projects Report
- Select the "+ New Report" button to create a report and view the corresponding Clarity 360 data for it.

- Project Type: New or Existing
- Project Name: Either select the name of the existing project or enter the name of the new project.
- Existing Project inputs:
- Existing Project: Select the existing project from the dropdown menu.
- New Project inputs:
- Copy settings from an existing project: Select the existing project from the dropdown menu.
- Universal URL Filter: Select the URL or Content type to filter by.
- Report Name: Input a name for the Clarity 360 report.
- Report Type: Standard and/or Normalized.
- Normalized does not include URLs with a trailing slash (/) from the table view.
- Metrics Date Range: Select the date range the report data should be based on. Note that the maximum date range is 31 days.
- Summary Type: Enable this to restrict to URLs in Primary Datasource.
- Data Sources: Select which data sources should be used for report creation. This includes: Site Audits, Bot Clarity, Rank Intelligence, Search Analytics, Site Analytics and Sitemap.
Available metric options in reports are based on the data sources selected.
Clarity 360 Project view
- Report Title: Previously completed projects can be selected by name.
- Hover over report name to see the gear icon and click on it to see the report settings.
- Available Reports: The number of reports available.
- Total Reports: Click on the number in the Total Reports column to see the list of reports in the project.
- Created Date: The date the report was originally created.
All Clarity 360 widgets can be seamlessly integrated into dashboards, allowing users to combine them with widgets from other parts of the platform. This flexibility enables the creation of customizable and informative dashboards. Example of the Clarity 360 widgets in a dashboard:
Widgets can be added in two ways:
- From a Clarity 360 report: Click the "+" button in the top-right corner of any widget, then choose an existing dashboard or create a new one.
- Directly from the dashboard: Use the "Select Widget(s)" option in the left panel menu within the dashboard's edit mode.
- Tip: Search for "360" to filter by Clarity 360-specific widgets.
Users can also update and select project/report options, filters and metrics on the fly, ensuring that the dashboard is dynamic and tailored to specific analysis.
These dashboards are powerful tools for monitoring (via trended widgets), analyzing specific projects or issues, and enhancing other widgets with added depth and context.
Clarity 360 Report Detail
Once Clarity 360 Report Projects are created, use the dropdown menus at the top of the Clarity 360 Report Detail page to select the specific projects and Site Audit crawl data sources.
Site Audits
- Pages in the crawled stage are the pages that can be found in Site Audits.
- Locate pages found in the site audit that aren’t indexed by Google.
- Find out which content types have the most pages that were found in a crawl.
Summary Charts

Click on the + icon next to each summary to add the widget to a dashboard.
Site Health Score: The Site Health Score is based on a combination of different issues found in the crawl, weighted by the importance of issues that are triggered.
- All URLs Summary: Summary of URLs broken down by data sources.
- Indexability Distribution in Site Structure: Displays the percent and the count of indexable and non-indexable URLs.
- Indexability by Depth: Percent of the indexable and non-indexable URLs by crawl depth.
- Non-Indexability Reasons Distribution in Site Structure: Displays the URL count of non-indexable URLs by Status Code Non 200, Canonicalized to Another Page, Robots Meta Tag Contains Noindex, and Robots X-Header Contains Noindex.
- Non-Indexability Reasons by Depth: Displays the count of non-indexable URLs by depth. Includes Status Code Non 200, Canonicalized to Another Page, Robots Meta Tag Contains Noindex, Robots X-Header Contains Noindex. This summary chart can be broken down further by metric.
- Pages by Status Codes: Displays the URL count and percent of pages by status code.
- Status Codes by Depth: Break down of URLs by status codes and depth.
- Pages by Canonical Type: Displays the URL count and percent of pages by canonical type.
- Canonical Types by Depth: Breakdown of URLs by canonical types and depth.
- Pages by Redirects: Displays the redirect types by URL counts and percent.
- Redirect Chains: Displays the redirect count by URL count and percent.
- Performance Metrics: Displays the URL count and percent broken down by performance.
- Structured Schema Distribution: Displays structured schema found and not found by URL count and percent.

Pages Table
Listing of all discovered URLs from all sources with the most important metrics for each page. The table can be quickly segmented by content type, page issues, depth of crawl, and a variety of other insights.
Status Code: Displays the most recent status code found for the corresponding URL.
URL: Displays the URLs that are included in the report.
Title: Displays the most page title found for the corresponding URL.
Traffic: Displays the traffic from Site Analytics for the corresponding URL and the selected date range.
Bounces: Displays the number of bounces from Site Analytics for the corresponding URL and the selected date range.

Status Code: Displays the status code found for the source URL on the date of the crawl.

Identify the source URLs where broken links are found and the details of those broken links.
Broken Links Table
Total URLs: The number of URLs found with broken links.
Status Code: Displays the status code found for the source URL on the date of the crawl.
Source URLs: URLs where broken links are found.
Broken Links: Click on the number in this column to see the list of broken links include their Destination URL, Anchor. and Status Code.

Server Errors
List of Source URLs where links with server errors are found and the details of the destination links.

Saved Filters
Utilize your custom saved filters to apply to report results.

Select Filters: Select your custom saved filters from the dropdown menu.
Table
Clarity 360 Filters
Content Type: Filter for content types based on created URL pattern matching. Allows for nested filtering of pages based on multiple criteria: is, isn't, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, or a Regex pattern using AND OR statements.
Tag: Filter by Page Tags, which group relevant pages together to allow for easier analysis and storytelling.
Source: Filter to include or exclude specific data sources that were selected during the report creation.
Stage: Filter to include or exclude specific stages: Known, Crawled, Indexed, Productive, Converting.
Stage Sources: Filter stages to be based on specific sources.
URL: Filter for specific URLs with options for: Is, Isn't, Contains, Does Not Contain, Starts With, Ends With, RegExp, RegExp Not Match.
URL List: Filter by URL List, which is a list of any URLs from the site. The included URLs do not have to be in your managed pages. It may take up to 8 hours for newly created/updated lists to be available.
Backlinks: Where enabled, filter by Backlink Anchor Text count, Backlink Citation Flow, Backlink Trust Flow, Backlink Unique Linking Domains, Backlink Unique Links.
Internal Link Analysis: Where enabled, this allows for filtering of data based on Internal Link Analysis with options for: Internal Inbound Anchor Text Count, Internal Inbound Link Count, Internal Outbound Link Count.
Bot Clarity: Where enabled, this allows for filtering of data based on Bot Clarity metrics.
Rank Intelligence: Where enabled, this allows for filtering of data based on Rank Intelligence metrics.
Research Grid: Where enabled, this allows for filtering of data based on Research Grid metrics.
Search Analytics: Where enabled, this allows for filtering of data based on Search Analytics metrics with options for:

- Blocked via Robots.txt, Robots Meta, or X-Robots Header: Google's Search Console gives site owners granular choices about how Google crawls their site: they can provide detailed instructions about how to process pages on their sites, can request a recrawl, or can opt out of crawling altogether using a file called “robots.txt”. Google also obeys instructions not to crawl and index a page when the Robots Meta tag is set to noindex or it the X-Robots-Tag in the HTTP header response for the page is set as noindex
- Canonical on the page is pointing to another page: This tells google that it shouldn't index the page but instead it should index the canonical url.
